Capsule Geology

The Douglas showing lies in a cirque on the northeast side of Switzer Mountain in an area underlain by granodioritic to granitic rocks of the Early Jurassic Aishihik Plutonic Suite.

Five parallel sulphide veins strike 330 degrees and are 5 to 12 centimetres in width. One vein was traced for 330 metres. Sulphide mineralization comprises pyrite and chalcopyrite. A rock sample from one vein containing massive sulphides (inferred to be chalcopyrite, galena and sphalerite from analytical results) yielded 0.18 per cent copper, 0.68 per cent lead, 0.41 per cent zinc, 11.3 grams per tonne silver and 0.61 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 28934).

In 2006, prospecting and sampling was carried out by B. Davies and A. Justason on behalf of Blind Creek Resources Ltd.
